Although the lodges are well isolated, they are easy to reach-only 2km's Off the R540 between Dullstroom and Lydenburg. A nature lover's dream, African Leaves offers hiking, birding, fishing and simply breathing the unequalled fresh air of the Highlands Meander hills. A well laid out hiking trail takes hikers to prime undowner picnic spots and a tranquil waterfall, suitable for swimming for the brave.

A safari at sundown can also be arranged with game viewing as an extra attraction. Dullstroom and it's quant shops and eateries are an easy 15 minutes away, the Lowveld and Panoramic views of Lydenburg, Sabie and Pilgrim's Rest, an hour further east - with the Kruger National Park accessible for early risers.

MACNAB

Macnab derives from an old Scottish tradition where the challenge lies in the execution of
three different hunting skills, for example, 3 of the following:
- Wing shooting
- Fly-fishing
- Shooting game(buck)
- Bow hunting
Costs include all food, drink, professional hunter, dogs, and fly-fishing instructor. This can
only occur during May, June, July and August.
Advanced booking required for special arrangements to be made.

 HIKING

There are two professionally laid out hiking trails passing waterfalls with beautiful
views of the Steenkampsberg region.
Both are around 6km long, but for the not-so-brave, the grounds manager can drop
you off with your picnic basket and collect you if necessary.

 FISHING

African Leaves offer Fly-fishing for both the novice and the jaded fisherman in three
well-stocked trout dams and meandering stretch of the dorps-river.
Dullstroom is an easy 15 minutes away for rods, reels, flies and advice from seasoned
fisherman.
